Marathon Overview
A marathon of all records, the Berlin Marathon is one of the most famous in the world, known for its fast, flat, and smooth course. This ideal route appeals to both amateur runners and elite athletes. Whether you want to discover marathon running, beat your personal best, or simply enjoy the city of Berlin on foot and car-free, this iconic race is made for you.
With its almost zero elevation gain, the BMW Berlin Marathon attracts tens of thousands of running enthusiasts from all over the world every year. It’s no coincidence that 10 world records have been set here since 1977, the latest in 2022 with an incredible time of 2h01m09s. These performances make the 2026 Berlin Marathon a must among the World Marathon Majors alongside London, New York, and Tokyo.
The Berlin Marathon course runs through the most beautiful avenues and landmarks of the German capital. The start and finish take place on the Strasse des 17 Juni, an emblematic avenue located right in the city center. You’ll run alongside 44,000 athletes, in an electric atmosphere carried by over 1 million spectators cheering all along the route.
Every kilometer is a celebration: 70 live music groups energize the race up to the last 400 meters, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The highlight is undoubtedly your passage through the majestic Brandenburg Gate, the mythical marathon finish line. A symbol of reunified Berlin, it will welcome you under the cheers of a dense crowd for your final effort, just before receiving your finisher medal — an eternal memory of this unique experience.
Throughout the 42.195 kilometers, runners benefit from liquid refreshment stations every 3 km, as well as solid refreshment points offering fruit every 6 km, starting from the 9th kilometer, and also at the start and finish. These aid stations are perfectly organized to ensure optimal comfort for all participants.
Bib collection for the 2026 Berlin Marathon takes place at the official marathon expo, generally accessible two to three days before the race. You’ll also find a wide selection of running gear, technical accessories, and the option to purchase the finisher t-shirt or the official BMW Event t-shirt, available as extras. Note: make sure to reserve yours in advance so you don’t leave without this iconic souvenir!

Flight departing Paris CDG on Saturday at 7:10 am – Arrival in Berlin at 8:55 am
Return flight Tuesday from Berlin at 8:15 pm, arrival at Paris-CDG at 10:05 pm

A deposit of half the trip cost is due upon booking. The balance is due no later than 100 days before departure.

- Cancellation and baggage loss insurance: €45 per person / with the included health protection extension: €70 (to be added to the price per person. You must have an address within the European Union to subscribe).
- Marathon extras: Adidas Finisher T-shirt, BMW Berlin Marathon T-shirt, Berlin Marathon jacket, medal engraving, photo pack… To be paid directly on the organizer’s website once the procedure is sent to you. To be collected at the marathon expo.

For solo travelers, registrations for shared double rooms are accepted provided that other people express the same desire. If this is not the case, the traveller concerned will have to pay for the trip on a single room basis.
If you are travelling in a group, you will need to fill out a form for each participant, whether they are a runner or an accompanying person.
This option is available for people who wish to travel on their own.
