Marathon Overview
The Stockholm Marathon is very popular with runners. It’s one of the most famous marathons in the world, as much for its impeccable organization as for the beauty of its downtown course.
The marathon circuit starts and finishes in front of and inside the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1912 Olympics. It consists of two loops. One with the first few kilometers in the city center and its most beautiful monuments, the other and following kilometers will take you through the peaceful districts of LADUGARDSGARDET and DJURGARDEN. You’ll then run through the vast green spaces and along the banks of the Swedish capital, before crossing the famous VASTERBRON bridge and its magnificent view of the city center. Finally, you’ll be proud to cross the finish line after running the last few meters inside the Olympic stadium. For a brief moment, experience the finish of an Olympic race! On this route, you’ll have the chance to catch a glimpse of the Royal Palace, the Town Hall and the Royal Dramatic Theatre.
The event brings together more than 19,000 marathon runners from all over the world every year. It is Stockholm’s biggest sporting event, with runners flooding through its streets. With thousands of spectators lining the course, a warm and friendly atmosphere fills the city centre. Once you’ve crossed the finish line, you’ll be proud to wear your Stockholm Marathon T-shirt and medal while enjoying a well-deserved refreshing drink.

2026 rates
Trip without transportation. You will need to make your own way to the hotel. On request, we can book flights from Paris starting at 300€ per person.
Deposit of half the trip to be paid upon booking, with the remaining balance due no later than 75 days before departure.

- 3 nights in a 4-star hotel in the city centre, in a standard room with a window
- 3 buffet breakfasts
- Planet Tours backpack and jersey offered to runners
- Marathon registration fee: 120
- Cancellation/baggage loss insurance: €40 per person / with the HEALTH COVERAGE extension included: €60 (to be added to the per-person price. You must have a postal address within the European Union to subscribe).
- Delivery of your Planet Tours backpack and jersey via Mondial Relay: €18. (If you choose not to use this option, your bag can be picked up directly at the agency. It cannot be delivered to the hotel.)
- Personal expenses and hotel minibar charges
IMPORTANT :
For solo travelers, registrations for a shared double room are accepted provided that other participants wish to do the same. Otherwise, the trip must be paid based on a single room.
